Saving Changes on Hosting Service screen (settings.cgi) removes 'Use SSL' checkboxes and Secure Image URL if special global.aa token is used

Product: ALL
Version: 6.2 and 6.3
Platform: ALL

I am a ShopSite partner/hosting provider and am trying to use the special 'settings:' token in the global.aa file to prevent merchants from changing the specific SSL settings that are required for my server, however when I use this token in global.aa to limit access to change the SSL settings, ANY change to the settings that are editable will turn OFF the 'Use SSL security in...' checkboxes and completely wipe out the Secure Image URL setting. How can I resolve this?
Solution ID: S5482

NOTE: merchants (and even most ShopSite partners) do not need to worry about this, as this feature is rarely used.

A patch has been issued to resolve this 6.3 problem. The patch file is located on the ShopSite partners FTP site.

The patch file to get to resolve this issue is:

settings.cgi

This patch needs to replace the file of the same name in the ShopSite CGI Directory (this directory is usually named 'ss' or 'bo').
