6.3.3 maintenance release fixes some problems with initial v6.3

Product: ALL
Version: v6.3x
Platform: ALL

I have ShopSite v6.3.0 or v6.3.1 and am experiencing some technical problems, are there any patches or new releases available for this version?

Solution ID: S5488

Yes, a maintenance release is available (v6.3.3) This release addresses the issues listed below. Note that all issues addressed by v6.3.3 are also resolved in a newer version of ShopSite v7, ShopSite v7.0.3.

SHOPPING CART:

* Fixed a JavaScript error caused by checking for a non-existant country field on the shopping cart screen.

* Changed Inventory Tracking (Pro only) warnings (product out of stock, etc) to load in a box at the top of the shopping cart screen instead of its own plain error screen.

* Limited the number of characters that could be entered in the CVV2 field on the Checkout screen to 4 characters.

* Fixed a problem encountered only on IRIX where using the UPS real-time quotes as the only shipping method would cause an internal server error from order.cgi.

SEARCH:

* Fixed a problem that causes productsearch.cgi to fail if a subproduct of a product in the search results has its Search Destination setting (Pro only) set to 'None'.

* Fixed a problem where no search results would be found if the search terms included two consecutive words that are on the indexing stoplist.

PAGE GENERATION:

* Fixed issues with Custom Pages (Pro only) generation that could cause generation to fail when some SmartHTML tags were encountered.

* Fixed an occurence of NULL characters being output to the generated HTML pages at the end of the Header and Footer fields which could show up in certain browsers as a unknown block character.

INSTALL:

* Fixed an issue that could cause a older Starter store to have its Tax feature disabled on an upgrade.

BACKOFFICE:

* Fixed a credit card number display error in the View Orders screen caused by large CVV2 numbers entered by shopper. (also already in a v6.3.1 orderhandler.cgi patch)

* Fixed QuickBooks .iif download code that was crashing QuickBooks when processing orders back in 2001 that used an old date format.

* Changed QuickBooks .iif download file's shipping line item to put the shipping method in the description column (MEMO) instead of the item type (INVITEM) column so that long shipping method names will not crash QuickBooks.

* Added upload optimization to skip linking steps on upload that aren't needed.

* Fixed problem where a negative Quantity on Hand would cause product uploads to fail.

* Fixed upload problem when a 'unique identifier' field contains HTML code and other text formatting codes, leading and trailing blanks, and anything else except in-field and between field delimiters; those are off limits and cannot be used.

* Fixed an upload problem that could cause page or product uploads (typically large ones) to hang or quit between the data import and linking phases on some platforms.

* Fixed a Reports summary (Pro only) scenario in which units sold is zero even though the sales amount is non-zero and the correct amount.

* Fix to Host Summary (Pro only) in Reports so that orders using PayPal and other post-back payment gateways are properly accounted for.

MISCELLANEOUS:

* Fixed an issue placing orders and billing orders with the SureFire (AKA TerraPayments) payment gateway enabled, caused by upgrades to their gateway server.

* Fixed Digital Download (Pro-only) problem where download links generated by the shopping cart on the receipts and those generated from the View Orders screen in the backoffice might not be the same if the shopper removed some items from the cart before completing their order.

* Corrected a timeout function that was not working when trying to get a file lock on a file.
