CGI Timeout error when trying to publish store with multiple products.

Product: Manager and Pro
Version: ALL
Platform: Windows 2000/2003

I have many products in my store. When I try to publish, I get an error similar to this one for an Windows 2000/2003 store:

"HTTP/1.1 502 Gateway Error Server: Microsoft-IIS/5.0 Date: Wed, 25 Apr 2001 17:33:16 GMT Connection: close Content-Length: 186 Content-Type: text/html

CGI Timeout
The specified CGI application exceeded the allowed time for processing. The server has deleted the process."

When you encounter this message, try refreshing the browser several times to see if the publish proceeds to completion. If you continually see it stop at the same product, check the following settings under Preferences > Search Settings (searchconfig.cgi):
Products saved between two checkpoints:
Pages saved between two checkpoints:

Lowering the checkpoint settings may allow ShopSite to pick up where it left off and eventually complete the publish.
