Is it possible to allow the system administrator to configure the merchant's ftp directory access during install?

I would like to be able to configure the merchant's ftp access to their ShopSite directories during the install. Is this possible?

Permission to ShopSite files are intentionally restricted during the install, allowing individual hosting companies to determine to what extent they will open up server access to their merchants.
An enhancement request that would allow the system administrator greater ability to adjust certain permissions during the install has been submitted and will be considered for future releases.
