What is the custom-dump.pl file in my sc directory?

Product: ShopSite Pro
Version: ALL
Platform: ALL

There's a script called "custom-dump.pl" in my sc directory. What is its use?
Solution ID: S04045

A sample perl custom CGI called "custom-dump.pl" ships with ShopSite. During installation, it is placed in the sc directory. This CGI will display all the information that is passed to it.
This is useful in determining which variable to use when writing custom CGIs in ShopSite Pro. You may view these variables by entering "custom-dump.pl" in the field under Merchandising > Order API (ccgisettings.cgi), save the setting, and place a test order in your store. The information will be displayed at the top of the final thankyou.cgi screen in your browser. These variables may then be used in your database when creating your own CGI to accomplish a customized task.

More details as to how to work with this feature in ShopSite Pro are available in the online help page "Order API." To locate, search for this name under your version of ShopSite at:
