Another option is Lexiconn's Shopsite shipping module, which allows you to enable and disable specific shipping methods on a product-by-product level:

Under Products in the "Edit Product Info" there is a "Shipping and Download Information" section. Maybe something there will work for your situation such as add in a handling charge and zero out the shipping.

You'll likely need to get their support involved, as it sounds like there is either a permission issue with your output directory "store" or a publish config setting is not set correctly. Only your host can correct this problem.

Hopefully they can fix the issue quickly.

I'm very new to shopsite and any web design and appreciate any help you may offer.

The long story: I have startlogic as a host and my address is www.rwsaunas.com I was unable to access my site as www.rwsaunas.com without using /store/index.html I then pointed www.rwsaunas.com to my public_html/store folder and was able to access www.rwsaunas.com but then my catagory links would not work. I contacted startlogic for help and after 2 days they "changed my backoffice files" great, everything worked I was able to update images products and publish however I couldn't add new pages and publish them. After publishing I receive the could not open sitemap xml file error and I also receive... Could not open /home/users/web/b1868/sl.rozyckiw/public_html/store/oils.html error (this is for the new page created) Help!!

More info pages are generated the first time the product is encountered during the publish and used the moreinfo section of the product template that is in effect at that time.

If the product is assigned to more than one page and the page is overriding the product template so a different one is used and that template does not have a moreinfomation section then you would end up with a blank page.

So make sure all your product templates have a moreinformation section.

Do you have any PHP scripts running? A completely blank page like that looks like a failing PHP script.

Hi,

My website is www.airsoftandrc.com.

My products come up just fine but when you click on the title or image to go to the more information page, it sometimes works and sometimes it doesn't (it brings up a blank page when it doesn't work).

To solve the problem, I re-publish the product. This is a temporary fix. Later the link to the more information page just brings up a blank page.

(When you look at my website, try different products because some work and then others don't)

What am I doing wrong?

Apparently the home page got corrupted somehow. I ran the wizard and it's fixed.

I just recently started using SS and created two product pages and I linked to them from the home page with no problem. I created a third and am having trouble showing the link. I can link it to other product pages but it's not letting me link it to home. I've deleted the entire page and recreated it with the same results. Any ideas on what I'm missing here after the first two seem OK?

If you have ShopSite Manager or Pro, yes the Ordering Options pull-down menu selections can change the price of the product. See the 'Special Rules' section of the Ordering Options documentation at:

ShopSite will send (and Google will accept) the HTML. They may (or may not) strip some or all of the HTML out when they display it, but they accept it in the data send in the feed.

This is actually a Product More Information Page with sub-products.
I coded this so long ago I can't remember why I did it as a Product and not a Page. Anyway it works and that's the important part.

There is no automatic way to split the associate payment. But you could name the associates with names that indicate how the money will be split.

A 50% jim 50% john
B 50% john 50% jim
C 50% george 25% jim 25%john
D 50% sam 25% jim 25% john

The order will contain who the associate is so you can split the commission up.

I have problem in revenue sharing process in shopsite orders. We are 2 partners A and B and two affiliates sites are C and D. There are three cases to distribute revenue generated after product shopping.

First case is
1)If a customer goes from link in A's Site to buy product, revenue sharing will be like:
50% to A and 50% to B.

Second case is:
2)If a customer goes from link in B's Site to buy product, revenue sharing will be like:
50% to A and 50% to B.

Third Case is :
3)If a customer goes from link in C's (or D's Site) to buy product, revenue sharing will be like:
50% to C (or D ) and 25 % to A and 25% to B.

Any help in this matter will be appreciated.

Edit: Found out you can do it on the same place you add the custom checkout fields.

It depends on how many product types you have. If just a few I would leave it at default otherwise you may want to specify in a custom field.

You give the extra fields the name of the attribute under Preferences > Extra Fields

You specify to use that extra field for the Google feed under Merchandising > Google > Product Search > Configure >Product Type (category):

Then in the Product you use the extra field to specify the Product Type.
