After installing new store successfully can't access pages.cgi, products.cgi and reports.cgi (or potentially other .cgi files)

After installing a new store I try to select the Pages or Products sections. I get an error message similar to the following:

"(#11100423)
Unable to load .aa file!"

...when I select Reports I get the following error message;

"Unable to restore shadow copy of database."

Solution ID: S04897

In this case you can see that more than one .cgi file is not working properly, but the install went fine, the ownership and permissions of the files are correct and have been verified. Do you see a core dump (generating core file) occuring on the server? If yes, it is very likely that the .cgi files are corrupted. It is recommended that you attempt the install again with a new download of the ShopSite.
