Why am I having trouble accessing my ShopSite stores after applying the RaQ3-All-Security-3.0.1-8061.pkg patch?

I am running ShopSite on a Cobalt RaQ3 server. I recently applied the RaQ3-All-Security-3.0.1-8061.pkg patch to my system. Now all of my ShopSite merchants are having problems accessing and running their stores. How can this be corrected?

This patch tightens file permissions security and changes the user and group ownership of the web server. To restore ShopSite functioning, you must change ownership of all of the ShopSite cgi's, images, etc to the new user and group of the web server. You must also add the new user of the web server to each customer site group.
