How do I add a currency option not included in the pull-down menu under Preferences | Locale in the back office?

In the ss directory is a file called currency.dat. This may be edited and new currencies added. The file contains instructions for formatting the new currency description in the file.

The information you will need to know about the currency before you can add it to the currency.dat file is:

1. ISO 4217 currency code
2. currency name
3. currency symbol
4. currency display format (e.g. $1,234.56)
5. negative amount currency display format (if more complicated than just a '-' sign added to the number)
