Adding a word to the stop list in the Search configuration page will cause an Internal Server error version 4.1

When trying to add a word to the stop list from the search configuration page (using Internet Explorer), you get an internal server error

Solution ID: S03184

This is caused by the stoplist.dat file being 0 bytes, or is missing from the data directory for the store. To correct this you will need to put a new stoplist.dat file into the data directory, or edit the existing file from the command line and add a word to it.
